There are times when it is appropriate to be serious, and at those times I think I should be. But 100% of the rest of the time I intend to be spectacularly and relentlessly silly.
If you would like to adopt the Silliness Manifesto then just do. There’s nothing to join and no badge to wear – simply be silly and encourage silliness in those around you.
I have found that the algorithms of Social Media are particularly susceptible to silliness. The more one likes and shares silly posts the more silly posts appear in one’s feed and it has the added benefit of amplifying the silly posts themselves. Doomscrolling becomes a pleasure – much more scroll and much less doom.
